Commercial terms without a mystery rate
Pricing that follows the payment operation
EPS prepares a merchant quote after reviewing the payment methods, expected volume, integration route, refund pattern, and settlement needs of the business.
This avoids presenting a rate that ignores business model, method cost, support scope, or the approved settlement route.
What changes the merchant price
The commercial offer should make each material input visible, including one-time work, transaction pricing, refunds, and settlement operations.
| Commercial input | What EPS reviews | How it appears in an offer |
|---|---|---|
| Payment methods | Card, account, wallet, QR, or payment-link requirements. | Method-specific availability and transaction pricing. |
| Monthly volume | Expected payment count, order value, seasonality, and growth range. | Volume assumptions and any applicable pricing tier. |
| Integration | Hosted checkout, ecommerce platform, API, callbacks, and testing effort. | Included setup work and any one-time implementation scope. |
| Refunds | Refund frequency, partial refunds, operating permissions, and support route. | Refund terms and the merchant’s operational responsibilities. |
| Settlement | Banking details, schedule, reports, currency, weekends, and exception handling. | Approved schedule, reconciliation format, and any reserves or conditions. |
| Risk profile | Business model, products, geography, fulfillment, disputes, and documentation. | Eligibility, controls, restricted activity, or additional review requirements. |
A quote should answer more than “what is the rate?”
Before signing, a merchant should be able to see the payment methods, integration scope, settlement schedule, refund terms, support route, and any conditions.
- Gateway pricing
The basis for transaction fees and whether the rate differs by payment method or transaction type.
- Setup scope
What is included in technical onboarding, testing, plugin configuration, server callbacks, and production activation.
- Settlement terms
The expected schedule, required bank account, report format, cut-off logic, and treatment of holidays or exceptions.
- Refund handling
Who can initiate a refund, how partial refunds are handled, and how the result appears in reports.
- Support model
The path for implementation questions, live transaction exceptions, and merchant-account changes.
